Walkthrough

Doric walks you through the survival basics once you accept First Steps: water, food and your first weapon.

   Report to Doric

   Accept the First Steps quest, then talk to Doric just outside the temple.

   Get water

   Head to the pond south or north of Doric, step into the water and collect at least one dirty water (hotkey E by default). Redberries on the way are a bonus.

   Return to Doric

   He explains that dirty water must be boiled first — drink too much unboiled and Soulscourge will make you sick.

   Craft a stone club

   Gather 4 ash logs to build a crafting table, then 6 more ash logs and 8 stone. Logs lie around the trees; stone litters the temple ruins.

5. 5

   Hand it over

   Show Doric the club. He sends you to Vannaka to learn combat, which opens the Ratcatcher quest.
