Crack the Runecrafting Guild's wizard statue by recovering its password and charging a mysterious orb to earn the staff of light recipe.

   Question the statue

   Interact with the wizard statue inside the Runecrafting Guild in Bramblemead Valley. It will not respond until you give it a password.

   Find the password

   Head to the Thishepen Kara vault, which lies near the guild beneath the cliff. Use Windstep to reach the room with four giant rats, then take the elevated path on your right to a glowing blue statue holding the password: pthentorok. You only need this room, not the whole vault.

   Charge the orb

   Return to the statue and give it the password. A mysterious voice speaks and hands you an uncharged mysterious orb. Interact with the three pedestals on the towers surrounding the guild's main tower, using Windstep and the nearby rubble to climb each one.

   Claim the recipe

   Once all three pedestals are used, the orb becomes charged. Take it back to the first statue to receive the staff of light recipe.
